Aligning with the heart

"What am I longing at this moment in my life?"

Practice Of Contemplation

This week I invite you to take practice deepening in the question: "What am I longing at this moment in my life?" in our next meeting we will used the information that came up in your contemplation to create a sankalpa.

  1. Have a question an inquiry on any aspect of life that you would like to contemplate. Any area where you don’t know how to act, where you feel stressed, disconnected, fear, anger.
  2. State the question clearly so that 5 year old can understand.
  3. Write down everything you know about the question in your head, without editing, just letting everything come our as it arises in your head
  4. Entering in to a contemplative state
    1. silence and its main quality is a peaceful detachment were we release all our outer grappling of the world so that we can hold an inner space of attentiveness.
    2. Feel the body
    3. Soften from the bottom to the top
    4. Feel that your spine is a flowing river of energy, that courses thru your whole body
    5. Your body is an open space where being flows ,manifesting as:
      1. the breath
      2. the body sensations, tensions,
      3. emotions
      4. Thoughts
      5. Images
      6. And you are the space of awareness beneath all of them
      7. This is a space of allowing for the energy of the question to resonate within, almost like a prayer, where we offer our sincere longing to the power of the divine
      8. have an open attitude to whatever arises from within but also from outside. You see the inner world can respond with feelings images, dreams, but also thru a comment of a friend a billboard, or a bird. You have to be open to the symbolic language of life.
  5. active journaling on your discoveries.

I am inviting you is for a process of building a relationship with your inner self, to learn to communicate with your deepest self, and be willing to follow its advice and see what happens in the process.

Qualities of the inner voice of the heart

  • You might be amazed by what comes up, you will notice that it transcends your regular frame of thought
  • The truth that arise from within is always feels good and joyful!
  • It often takes the form of a challenge, lovingly inviting you to expand your horizons
  • It is non-judgemental, it is unconditional love, it accept you as you are, and loves you as you are and always invites you to honor yourself by living to your best potential.
  • There is no rush, there is no forcing, no threatening, no blame, no punishment,
  • You are not in charge of the process, you can just be available and willing to your part of the process, but you can’t make an answer happen. Answers might come, just by asking the right question, or when you are freely writing, or in the silent contemplation
